My name is Jack Arent and I have been a freelance photographer with the Golden State Warriors and NBA Photos since 2004. I have seen a big shift in how star athletes grow and maintain their brands and it’s through self and cross promotion. I have photographed dozens of NBA community events and only in recent years have I seen star athletes bring in their own photographer or videographer for their own content creation, when the league or team has already scheduled a photographer and videographer. What does this mean? The game has changed, no longer should you wait and hope for a scout to come view your talent in hopes of growing your brand that gets you to the next level.

I have been photographing athletes for over 20 years. I used to strictly photograph game action, in fact to date I have photographed over 7,000 games. BUT my focus now is on helping high school athletes get to the next level by literally putting them in the best light. This is where emulating self promotion of todays professionals can help you. Gone are the days of waiting on scouts and hoping they see your talent. Somewhere you can be a good fit and I can help you find it.
What I do is help athletes market themselves directly to college coaches and athletic directors by creating a personal brand marketing packet. The full session includes high end portrait photography and portrait action photography, this is a stylized set up of lighting equipment and post production editing. A video interview can be added as well. If your position in the sport you play demonstrates peak athletic ability action will be included in your video.
Attention grabbing visuals is how you reach out directly to college coaches and athletic directors and take the next step in playing at the next level.
